Youth and Children

St Francis seeks to cater for children of all ages.

Services
The first Sunday of the month is an all age family service. This is great for children and allows them lots of opportunities to join in. Our Rainbows, Brownies and Guides are often there too.

On the second Sunday of the month, Kerry Evans - our parish youth worker - leads the children in activities. On the third Sunday, there are activity packs in the church for use during the service or Messy Church in the afternoon.

The fourth Sunday is a Family Communion service where children stay with their families except for during the sermon.

The fifth Sunday, when there is one, is a parish service suitable for all ages. St Francis', St Bartholowmew's and St Wilfrid's form the Horley Team Ministry and the service rotates around the three churches in turn.

Activities
Mums and Babes
There is a thriving ‘Mums and Babes’ group which has recently celebrated its 30th anniversary! This group meets on Wednesday mornings from 10.30 a.m. until noon. Despite the name, all are welcome including dads, grandparents and other carers. It is an opportunity to have a coffee and a chat whilst your child (or children) enjoy the toys on offer that week. There are regular Toddler Services held in the church which last about 15 minutes. You can take your child to these if you wish to do so.

St Francis’ 7th Horley Guides, Brownies and Rainbows meet in term time on Mondays
Rainbows 5-6pm, Brownies 6-7.30pm, Guides 7.30-9pm.
